Multi-Year Building Maintenance Program, Goshen Church

Project overview

A Goshen church facility needed a single trusted partner to manage exterior maintenance across an aging building set, instead of juggling multiple specialty contractors year after year.

The challenge

Roof leaks, gutter overflow, deteriorating mortar joints, and peeling paint had all been deferred. A volunteer-led property committee did not have time to manage four different trades.

What we did

• Built a multi-year maintenance plan with twice-yearly inspections covering roof, gutters, sealants, masonry, and paint.
• Year one focused on roof leak repair, drain cleaning, and gutter resealing.
• Year two added tuckpointing on the most weathered elevations and exterior repaint of the fellowship hall.
• Annual condition report with prioritized recommendations and projected budget needs.

Results

• Zero leaks reported in the worship space for two consecutive winters.
• Predictable maintenance budget instead of emergency repair invoices.
• Property committee freed up to focus on ministry instead of vendor management.
